Hi it's AI !

She almost invites herself everywhere, answers our every question, becomes almost a confidante for some, solves countless problems, exceeds expectations, and even makes us forget what the world used to be like.

before her, If artificial intelligence (AI) is essential, what can it (really) bring (more) to the world of nightlife?

In 2023, a man imagined what a night at Hogwarts might look like, with Harry Potter and his gang in a clubbing atmosphere. Using the AI-based software Midjourney, he transformed the characters into a full-on rave party, with a resultt

as astonishing … as terrifyingly realistic. The Village of the Evening, for its part, wishes to preserve what

constitutes the DNA of the place, its creative fibre, without turning its back on this essential tool. The entry into AI is therefore gradual, with restraint through a measured use in creations. Graphic designers use it by

example to generate certain images, and the Village recently tested it for spots broadcast on carac TV.

On the DJ side, tools based on artificial intelligence are also starting to emerge. The application "Pulse DJ" includes a feature called "Pulse Hot 100" that generates a playlist in just a few seconds "based on AI analysis of the latest tracks played by DJs in your area.".

Another feature available on Pulse DJ: the audience can, thanks to QR codes, request tracks from the DJ before the event. While the promise of time-saving is undeniable, the question of creativity arises. When asked about these tools, LIVATI – DJ

resident at the Village du Soir – is adamant: he does not use any of these AI-driven tools for his playlists.

But where AI and the nightlife world converge the most to date is around applications aimed at enhancing the customer experience. The ability to directly order drinks or food from your table with a single click, facial recognition at club entrances via the AI Bar app to speed up queues and easily spot queue jumpers, or even public participation in the atmosphere of the evening with applications that allow users to rate the music played in real time or the vibe of the night..

On the side of dishes and drinks served in bars, it is the "Bar" version of ChatGPT that makes an appearance, BarGPT - to generate ideas for cocktail names or innovative and/or "trendy" recipes. Based on a brief (desired type of cocktail or a question about the most "hyped" cocktail of the moment, for example), BarGPT will propose a recipe, list

from ingredients to the steps of preparation, up to the creation of a photo of the expected result. Given the success of its use, a paid version is now offered with an unlimited number of cocktails.

Another competing tool, BoozyBlend, which operates on a similar algorithm, by cross-referencing the desired flavour, type of glass, and theme to create recipes in a matter of seconds.

Skillfully measured, AI can certainly bring some interesting features to the clubbing audience. But when technology surpasses humanity, then danger lurks. Who wants to find themselves at 100% virtual parties??

Not us in any case at the Village !
